PROCESS
The first step is an INITIAL MEETING. This could be by email, over the phone, or getting together at a coffee shop. There is no charge for this time. We will discuss your project, what I would offer, and answer any questions you have. We can see if we are a good fit for each other, and which services you are interested in.

If you choose to move forward and decide on a package, you would PAY the fee up front. For an hourly arrangement, I will bill after we are through, or once a month for an ongoing consultation.
A LAYOUT PACKAGE begins with measuring your space (or working initially from architectural plans, if this is for a new build). If we are working remotely, I will give clear instructions for either you or your contractor to send measurements and photos of the jobsite.
We will DISCUSS the project further to gather information. We can start with wherever you are. Sometimes people have a lot of thoughts on the subject, but may not be aware of other options they should think about. Others do not know what they want. It is fine either way. We will pick a starting point, and work from there.

Abode will create 1st Draft options focusing on the GENERAL LAYOUT. There will usually be 2-4 options, with different parts that can be mixed and matched. We will send plans and rendered perspectives with this draft. The goal is to choose the different parts you like and combine them into one drawing that we will continue to work with.

After the general layout is selected, we will focus on DETAILS. Elevations will now be created, along with a new plan and perspectives. These will help you visualize what your kitchen will look like and how it will work for you. We will continue creating additional drafts as we tweak the details until everything is just right. There are unlimited changes.

At this point you may take your drawings to any cabinet provider you prefer. I will be glad to answer any questions that come up, or create any additional drawings needed if they relate to the layout. Then the layout package is COMPLETED.
If you would like to continue working with me, we can begin the FINISH PACKAGE. I am glad to work with providers you choose, or those that I can recommend. I will help you select cabinets, door styles, countertops, backsplash, flooring, lighting, appliances, and fixtures for your new space.

I sell Showplace Cabinetry, which is a high quality, mid-price, semi-custom cabinetry line with a nice variety of style and color options. I am currently in the process of researching and selecting other PROVIDERS I can recommend and work with, to offer other choices and price points.
