FARM

This farmhouse kitchen desperately needed an update. As with many farmhouses, the kitchen door was used as the main entrance to the house, and visitors were greeted with a sad sight. It was also a hardworking kitchen, and needed some changes to make it function more smoothly.

The space was given new wood flooring and stainless steel appliances. The refrigerator was relocated to the opposite end, nearer the sink. New cabinets replaced old on the exterior walls and island (which was rotated), with easier access storage and seating area added. Matching new doors were installed in the pantry and desk area, updating them and adding additional storage where the old freezer had been.

The homeowner chose a green penny-round tile backsplash and orange accents to add the retro feel she wanted. Simple white cabinets and countertops make them pop. The new kitchen is more efficient, functional, and charming!
